Following the State of Vermont’s apology to the families who were harmed by the State sanctioned Eugenic movement, the Legislatures passed Act 128 “establishing statute of the Vermont Truth and Reconciliation Commission (VT TRC).” The Commission’s was tasked with researching and documenting discrimination , injustice, and systems issues that targeted historically marginalized groups. During the March 20, 2024 VTRC Emblematic Public Meeting #4, VT TRC researcher Adam Kersch shared their findings as of that date.
