In this video we interview with Trudy Ann Parker, author of Aunt Sarah Woman Of The Dawnland. Although written as a novel, Trudy brings a story to life which she says is about her Abenaki family. She describes her people in the introduction as a faith based people, perhaps we could say a people that lived by their spirituality. She reminds us that the culture is still a living culture today. Readers will better understand Abenaki history after reading Aunt Sarah Woman of the Dawnland.
We are continuing to video Trudy about her books and the next episode will be about her book Big Snow Little Snow, and the third episode will highlight her new book about growing up Abenaki in Vermont during the 1950’s.
